County stakeholders clean Daraja Mbili market.
The Daraja Mbili market has received a major clean - up today, after the Kisii County Department of Lands Physical Planning and Urban Development, Kisii Municipality, Kisii University and Avenue hospital conducted a one day cleaning exercise at the market.
Led by Kisii County Executive Committee (CEC) member Grace Nyarang’o said that the exercise was of paramount importance owing to the number of business activities that take place at the market.
“The clean-up is an indication that we take great care of our environment and this exercise will foster an effective business ecosystem.” She noted.
It is estimated that 4 tones of organic compound were collected and deposited at the County Waste Management site for recycling.
