Mr. Henry Nyanchoka

CHIEF OF STAFF

He holds a B.A Degree in Government and Sociology from the University of Nairobi, Kenya, a Master’s Degree in Information Science from the Catholic University of America, Washington DC and a Postgraduate Diploma in Local Government Management from the Kennedy School of Government in Boston, USA.

His working experience spans over a period of 20 years in the public service; worked as a District Officer in the Kenya Provincial Administration, Assistant Registar with the University of Nairobi; a Town Clerk of Kisii, Machakos and Thika Municipal Councils; a Director of Housing with the City Council of Nairobi and a Librarian in Washington DC USA.

Participant in:

(a) The International Three Months African and Caribbean Leaders Project; Theme Local Government in the United States focusing on Public Service Delivery in large Cities Vis a Vis small towns.

(b) Eleventh Conference on Housing and Urban Development in Africa, featuring “Agricultural Growth and Market Town Development held in Malawi in May 1988.

(c) In Budgeting and Expenditure Financial Management Workshops under the Sponsorship of the USAID
