CHIEF OFFICER - EDUCATION, LABOUR AND MANPOWER DEVELOPMENT

Dr Doris Nyangoge Nyokangi was the Chief Officer department of Education, Labour and Manpower Development. Previously she served as the Chief Officer for Stakeholder Management, Public Participation & Disaster Management in the ministry of Administration, Corporate Services & Stakeholder Management.

Prior to joining the County Government, she served in various capacities in a number of Universities and Colleges, rising to Deputy Director at Institute of Women, Gender and Development Studies in Egerton University. She has vast experience in Youth and Gender management issues.

She holds a PhD in Inclusive Education (Gender, Sexuality & Disability) from University of South Africa (UNISA), Masters Degree in Education, Gender and International Development (EGLD) from the Institute of Education, University of London (UK), a Bachelor’s degree in Education (Arts) from the University of Nairobi and a Diploma in Education from Siriba Teachers College.
